I received my first camera during my senior year of high school. It was a Nikon D60 with the basic kit lens. From there I practiced my photo taking skills and learned different techniques.
I don’t have one particular preference in photography, but I enjoy studio photography with strobes, landscapes, and architecture. However, I have recently gotten involved with street photography and love it.
My philosophy for photography is to just take photos that you like. I think these days too many photographers and critics are caught up with underlying meanings of photographs and that these meanings constitute what makes a good photo or not. I find that there’s nothing wrong with taking a photo simply for the visual interest or beauty of it. A camera captures a moment of time that will never come back. Simply record it and enjoy the image it produces.
